Check Server Time
Type: NONE
Weight: 1
GET /fapi/v1/time
Server clock — returns the current wall-clock time as Unix milliseconds.
Request
GET /fapi/v1/time
Response — 200
{ "serverTime": 1748275200500 }
Use this to detect client clock drift before sending signed requests (HMAC validity is bounded by recvWindow). A typical pre-trade sanity check:
import requests, time
delta = requests.get('https://api.rocky.exchange/fapi/v1/time').json()['serverTime'] - int(time.time() * 1000)
assert abs(delta) < 1000, f'clock drift {delta} ms — fix NTP'
The same value is also embedded as the
serverTimefield of/fapi/v1/exchangeInfo, so a separatetimecall is only needed when you want a low-latency clock check.
